Social Emotional Learning and Social & Sensitive Issues

Our K-12 Lesson Sequence on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Social & Sensitive Issues is an integral part of our curriculum, designed to foster emotional intelligence, resilience, and empathy in students. In Washington State, these lessons are required as part of the state’s commitment to supporting students' mental health and helping them navigate complex social situations. The curriculum addresses a range of topics, including emotional regulation, interpersonal communication, and understanding diverse perspectives. While these lessons are an essential tool for developing well-rounded students, we understand that parents may have concerns or wish to review the material beforehand. If you would like to review the content in detail, please click on the link below to access the materials. If you wish to opt your child out of these lessons, please visit your school administrator for the opt-out form. Your partnership in your child’s education is important to us, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions or feedback.
