In February 2020, voters in our school district approved a replacement Educational Programs & Operations levy. In 2021, the levy's rate per $100,000 in assessed property value is expected to be $1.53. It will generate $2,350,000 in local revenue for our district. State law allows school districts like Othello to request up to $2.50 per $100,000 in levy funding from local taxpayers. We have elected to minimize our request in order to lessen the financial burden.

The levy helps fund all or part of:

Instruction - Curriculum, technology, professional development and mentoring. 
Programs - READY! for Kindergarten, Preschool, AVID, HiCap, after and summer school programs, music and arts, activities, and athletics. 
Operations - Safety, student health services, technolgy, facilities and maintenance.
Compensation - Costs beyond state basic education funding. Certificated & classified wages, substitute costs, etc.
