    February 2 - 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. @ Wahitis Gym

On November 22, 2021, the Othello School District Board of Directors voted to approve a $51 million bond election on the February 8, 2022 ballot. The bond will address several immediate facilities needs in our district including:

    1) Replacing the 600 wing at Othello High School with 18 general and 3 new science classrooms.

    2) Adding a new competition gymnasium at OHS that has capacity for the entire student body, up to 1,500 spectators.

    3) Expansion of McFarland Middle School to accommodate all OSD 6th grade students, relieving overcrowding at all elementary schools.

    4) Construction of new gyms at Hiawatha, Lutacaga, and Scootney Springs that are equal to the gym at Wahitis.

    5) Construction of a new food services central warehouse in a new location away from the OHS campus. The new facility will have expanded cold and dry storage capacity and will help improve operational efficiency in that department.

Calculate your actual expense by finding your home's assessed value (online with your county assessors office) and then use the equation below:

    (Assessed value ÷ 1,000) x 1.14 = Annual Bond Expense

    Example: (250,000 ÷ 1,000) x 1.14 = $285 annually
