Sandra Anderson, Principal
Sandy Anderson has been a member of the Othello community for the past 11 years. Prior to her role as the Principal of Wahitis Elementary, she worked for two years there as the Assistant Principal, as well as a 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade teacher at Scootney Springs Elementary, Hiawatha Elementary, and Wahitis Elementary. Sandy graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sport Science and teaching endorsements in K-12 PD and 6-12 health. She received a Masters Degree in Education from WSU-TC and an administrative certification from Whitworth University. Sandy has been married for the past 16 years and has four children. She is passionate about helping students develop character, acquire academic skills, and becoming the best version of themselves. Sandy finds great joy and satisfaction in working with the amazing students, exceptional & hard-working staff, and committed parents at Wahitis Elementary. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
Justin Johnson, Assistant Principal
Justin Johnson has been an educator and administrator in the Othello District for 15 years. He first joined the Othello School District as a 5th Grade teacher in the fall of 2003 and has since spent time in the classroom as a 4th and 6th grade teacher, as a computer lab specialist, ELL specialist, instructional coach, the distict Director of Data and Innovation, and as a building Principal. Prior to making his way to Washington state, Justin earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota in Elementary Education and has since obtained a Master's degree from Easter Washington University and his Principal credentials from Washington State University. Throughout his experience as an educator and a buiding administrator he has shown a passion for educational equity and creating oportunities for all students.
