    AGRICULTURE SCIENCE : Agriculture, Food, Natural Resources (AFNR) A/B ** This class meets Science Requirement 1.0 CREDIT/2 SEMESTERS/GRADE LEVELS 9, 10, 11, 12

    Students participating in the Introduction to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources course will experience exciting “hands on” activities, projects, and problems.  Student experiences will involve the study of communication, the science of agriculture, plants, animals, natural resources, and agricultural mechanics.  While surveying the opportunities available in agriculture and natural resources, students will learn to solve problems, conduct research, analyze date, work in teams, and take responsibility for their work, actions, and learning.

    AGRICULTURE CONSTRUCTION .5 CREDIT/1 SEMESTER/GRADE LEVELS 9, 10, 11, 12

    Have you ever wanted to actually build a small structure from the ground up using design techniques, cost estimation, and safe work habits?  This is the class for you.  Examples of projects may include a small garden shed and a greenhouse.

    ADVANCED AG CONSTRUCTION .5 CREDIT/1 SEMESTER/GRADE LEVELS 10, 11, 12

    • Prerequisite: Agricultural Construction

    Ever wanted to be a foreman?  Or be in charge of a group of workers?  In this class you can do just that!  You will be the foreman of other construction students.  You will learn how to lead people, how to manage as well as time management skills.  This class will also enhance your construction skills.

    AGRICULTURE WELDING .5 CREDIT/1 SEMESTER/GRADE LEVELS 9, 10, 11, 12

    Get your hands dirty!  This class covers all types of machinery and equipment within the welding area.  You will learn wire feed (MIG), Arc, and Oxy-Acetylene welding. As well as get to design using the plasma cam!

    ADVANCED AG WELDING .5 CREDIT/1 SEMESTER/GRADE LEVELS 10, 11, 12

    • Prerequisite: Agricultural Welding

    This class is for the more advanced welder.  This class is project based, and you will be responsible for providing your own materials as well as plans for your projects.  Let’s see what you can make!  You are only limited by your imagination!

    AGRICULTURE MECHANICS 1 CREDIT/2 SEMESTERS/GRADE LEVELS 9, 10, 11, 12

    This competency-based course prepares students for entry-level positions in the agriculture industry.  Students will study farm equipment operation, repair welding, general farm maintenance including fence and shed construction, electricity, plumbing, concrete surveying and rope work.  This course includes classroom instruction, practical lab work on farm equipment.

    AGRICULTURE LEADERSHIP 1 CREDIT/2 SEMESTERS/GRADE LEVELS 9, 10, 11, 12

    Do you want to build your Leadership skills and possibly make some money?  In this class we will explore, research, and practice Agricultural Leadership and Career Development Experiences. Students will also be able to do a Student Agricultural Experiences where the student has the opportunity to make their own money while developing budgeting, economic, and marketing skills while being able to explore different careers and network with Business Leaders. There will also be opportunity to explore and apply for numerous scholarships that are available within the Agricultural industry.
