William von Bracht, Principal

    Will began his teaching career at Othello High School teaching English Language Learners and AVID. He transitioned to school administration moving to the Wahluke School district where he worked for three years as an assistant and head principal. He, his wife, and three children are thrilled to be back in the Othello Community where they feel at home. Will has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Education from BYU-Idaho as well as a master’s degree in School Administration from Whitworth University. He is fluent in Spanish and passionate about serving diverse learners. He loves working with the Hiawatha staff to best serve the school’s amazing students.


    Jessica King, Assistant Principal

    Jessica King has lived in the area for over twenty years with her husband, son, and daughter. For the last nine years, she was a kindergarten and third grade teacher in the Moses Lake School District at Longview Elementary. Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual Arts from Seattle Pacific University, a Teaching Certificate in K-8 Elementary Education from Western Governors University, her Masters Degree in Professional Studies in Teaching and Learning from Heritage University, and an Administrative Certification from Whitworth University. She is excited to be a part of the Othello community and serve students, families and staff at Hiawatha Elementary. Jessica is dedicated to creating a culture of equity and respect that focuses on providing a challenging and intentional education for all students. She is passionate about supporting the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally. In her free time, Jessica loves spending time with her family, kayaking, and boating.
