OSPI Issues Guidance for 2021-22 School Year

Washington’s state Superintendent of Public Instruction has announced that all schools will open this fall with full-time in-person instruction for all students. We are excited for this big step forward in Othello!

At this time, we do not intend to offer a distance learning option for the 2021-22 school year. This may change based on local COVID activity as we get closer to the start of the new school year, and based on potential future guidance from OSPI.

There is currently no state mandate for schools to require COVID vaccinations for students or staff. Vaccinations are recommended for anyone who is eligible to receive them. We will have strong safety protocols in place for the new school year. As of today, we expect that masks will continue to be required for at least the start of the new school year.

We are looking forward to kicking off our “better than normal” school year this fall. Please continue to follow us as guidance and information may change between now and the start of school.
