Your child's school is pilot testing standards based grading in select classes this year. Standards based grading is a new method of grading that measures what a student knows and can do, and it provides a greater opportunity for feedback to you about your child's learning. You recently received a letter about Empower Learning containing your login information.  (Please note that the letter you received had an incorrect URL, please remove the "www" from the URL address in the letter or click this link). This is the portal that will give you access to your child's grade information in classes participating in the pilot test.

There are two upcoming opportunities coming up to learn how to use the Empower Learning platform to help  your student find success in the classroom:

• September 20th - 5 p.m. @ Desert Oasis High School (Gymnasium)
• September 21st - 5 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. @ McFarland Middle School (room 200)

Our staff will give a brief presentation about standards based grading and give you an opportunity to log in to Empower to learn how to navigate the portal.
