Commencement Ceremony Information
Gates Open at 5:00 p.m.
Seating
- First-come, first-served.
- Seats may not be reserved.
- Blankets, tape, or other items used to save seats will be removed.
Wristbands
Each graduate receives:
- 4 YELLOW VIP wristbands (seating near the stage on grassy area)
- 4 PURPLE General Admission wristbands (stadium seating)
Children ages 2 and under do not require a wristband if seated on a family member's lap. All children over the age of 2 require a wristband.

Stadium Entry & Permitted Items
Wristbands Required
All guests must have their wristbands on and visible before entering the stadium. Wristbands will be checked at each entrance gate.
Stadium Gates
Main Entrance Gate (Hemlock Street)
- Located at the stadium's primary entrance on Hemlock Street.
- Open throughout guest arrival and the commencement ceremony.
4th Avenue Gate
- Located on the east side of the stadium along 4th Avenue.
- Open until 7:30 p.m.
- This gate will close at 7:30 p.m. to ensure all traffic behind the stage is cleared before the commencement ceremony begins promptly at 8:00 p.m.
ADA/Accessible Entrance Gate
- Located near the Ag Building and former bus loop area.
- Reserved for guests requiring ADA/accessible accommodations and their families.
Handicap Parking & Accessibility Accommodations
Families needing handicap-accessible parking must contact OHS Student Services in advance to obtain a parking pass.

Bags, Umbrellas, Balloons & Outside Food/Drink
- Only clear bags will be permitted inside the stadium.
- Diaper bags will be permitted but are subject to inspection by event staff.
- Guests are welcome to bring umbrellas into the stadium for shade and comfort prior to the ceremony.
- All umbrellas must be closed and taken down once the commencement ceremony begins to ensure an unobstructed view for all guests.
- Flowers and balloons are welcome; however, they must be placed in designated "parking" areas during the commencement ceremony so they do not block the view of other guests.
- Event staff will direct guests to designated flower and balloon parking locations.
- No outside food or beverages are allowed inside the stadium.
- Guests may bring unopened water bottles only.
Concessions
OHS AVID students will be selling cold bottled water for $2 during the commencement ceremony. We encourage guests to support our AVID program while staying hydrated throughout the evening.
