• Distance Learning 

    On April 6, 2020, Governor Inslee announced the closure of all schools for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Because of this announcement, the Othello School District will be transitioning to a Continuous Distance Learning model. Teachers will be providing students with weekly learning plans either through online platforms (such as Google Classroom) or by providing them educational learning packets. Continuous Distance Learning will concentrate on essential core learning principles, and learning efforts will help students improve their learning and allow them to prepare for the next grade level.

    The Othello School District will be transitioning away from providing district-wide educational packets for grades PK-8, so it is very important for families to check with their students school for specific instructions on where, when and how to pick up educational materials if they do not have internet access at home.

    Beginning Monday, April 20th, each of our schools at the OSD will implement their continuous distance learning plan. Click on your student's school site for specific information:

    OSD Preschool Continuous Distance Learning Plan

    Beginning Monday, April 20th, the OSD preschool will continue providing educational packets to students. Since the packets have hands on materials that the OSD preschool staff has prepared for students, parents will need to pick up the packets (vs. downloading them via our website) at the following locations and times:
    • OSD Meal Routes - Every Monday and Tuesday
    • MMS Bus Loop - Every Monday and Tuesday from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM
