Dear Wahitis Elementary Parents,
I’d like to take a moment and introduce myself as the new principal at Wahitis Elementary. I am so excited and honored to serve as your principal! Please know that together, the staff and I will work to make Wahitis Elementary the best school that it can be for ALL of our students.
I am certain that working as a team and having a rigorous approach to instruction as well as a positive atmosphere where students can thrive and feel safe will greatly contribute to making huge academic gains. My goal as a principal is to work with our staff to meet our vision statement: “To prepare every student for a successful middle school experience.”
To that end, Wahitis staff will collaborate and analyze data and create well thought out lesson plans based on our state standards. In addition, we will deliver those rigorous lessons using effective teaching strategies. Also, we will communicate effectively and kindly to each other as well as with our students and parents to promote a clear vision of where we are going as a school.
I am ready to meet all of you and I want to let you know that our office is now open from 7:30 to 4:00 PM. Please take the time to come in and introduce yourself and tell me about your son/daughter so that I can start getting to know our students. I believe that the perfect recipe for your child’s success as a student is for us to work together and I am ready and willing to start that process already.
Please be aware that there is construction around the Wahitis campus and that access is limited to specific points until completion of that construction project to the south of the Wahitis building. See attached map to be informed about access to Wahitis before school starts as well as once school is going.
Once again, I am honored to be your principal and want to thank you for the opportunity to serve you. Please call my office at (509) 764-1200 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any specific questions about your son/daughter or about any of the programs we offer here at Wahitis Elementary.
